The article was written in 2017, I wonder if the choices will stay the same today.

And if you were to choose a different cloud provider ( theoretically) would you consider BigQuery and/ or Azure data lake solution . I know that Azure has Kafka as a service as well today and their Azure ML is also quite advance.

I guess Flink would be a candidate in every cloud provider .

I think that the chosing a cloud platform is a matter of cost and in-house knowledge.
I am aware of the advantages of BigQuery, having said that, moving data across cloud providers can cost you.
